Villar Group to launch own ‘StreamTech Internet’ service nationwide

Here's a new player in the house!

The Villar group will formally enter the telecommunication business with the establishment and expansion of StreamTech Systems Technologies, Inc.

A BusinessMirror story noted that the company will launch StreamTech through its own Prime Asset Ventures, Inc. company. StreamTech will take over the Internet Business operations of sister company Planet Cable, Inc., with operations in Regions 1, 3, NCR, and 4-A Calabarzon. In addition, The company will also expand the Internet business in Visayas and Mindanao, primarily in Iloilo and Davao areas.

Planet Cable currently offers home broadband plus cable bundle starting at PHP 1,300 per month for its Venus Plan, where it touts to bring up to 10Mbps of Internet speed and 104 Cable channels. Its most expensive residential plan is at PHP 3,800 for speeds up to 100Mbps plus 36 cable channels. They also offer Fiber-only connections, with plans starting at PHP1,499 for speeds up to 25Mbps.

Some of its major clients include mostly the Villar-owned firms, such as Vista Land and Lifescapes Inc., which operates housing brands Brittany, Crown Asia, Camella Homes, Communities Philippines, and Vista Residences. StreamTech also offers value-added products and services to its clients such as Digiclass e-learning bundles, ZPacks vlogging and gaming bundles, and Extendifi Wi-FI extenders.

Spearheading the new company is Paolo Villar, son of the former politician now businessman, Manuel B. Villar Jr. “We have high hopes of providing internet services to the farthest reach possible, also in line with our commitment to provide high-quality services to Filipinos across the country. We are very confident that we can greatly boost the internet experience of our existing and future customers,” Villar, the founder of PAVI, said.

StreamTech secured a congressional franchise to construct and operate a telecommunications system in October 2018 under Republic Act 11089.
