Huawei has officially launched its newest flagship phones, the P40, P40 Pro, and P40 Pro+, at a global online event today.

Huawei P40

These three devices share a lot of characteristics that have the makings of a Huawei flagship. They all have a quad-curve overflow display that touts seamlessness in touch. They also sport water resistance ratings and fast wired charging. They also have a 32-megapixel front camera that enables 4K selfie video recording. It also has a new-generation in-display fingerprint scanner than scans 30% faster than the ones used with the Mate30 series.

The brand also touts great photography capabilities with the new phones. The P40 series have what they call the Golden Snap feature, with AI assisting you in removing other people in the background, reflections, or finding the best scene for your photo. It can detect more than 30 postures and more than 50 facial expressions to recommend the best photos in a scene.

Huawei P40 Pro

These three also have different camera features. The P40 features a triple rear camera, the P40 Pro a quad Cine camera, and the P40 Pro+ features the world’s first Leica Penta camera. The Pro and Pro+ also have more advantages, including a larger display, wireless charging, front IR sensor, and up to 100x digital zoom.

Celia is the brand’s in-phone mobile virtual assistant. A new video calling feature called MeeTime resembles Apple’s FaceTime, with more features such as real-time screen sharing and seamless connections to other Huawei devices.
