Samsung’s newest flagship devices, the Samsung Galaxy S23, S23+, and S23 Ultra, were announced and have a ton of new features in tow. Check out the specs, features, and prices in the Philippines below.
What you should know:
- Eco-friendly initiative: Samsung’s new flagship series now features a build made from recycled post-consumer plastic, aluminum, and glass as part of the company’s Galaxy for the Planet initiative, including 22% of the glass used on its front and back parts, and a majority of the components that make up the chassis and design shell of the product.
The packaging is now made from 100% recycled material, too, and promotes a zero-plastic initiative. - Hardware: The new models feature Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chips. The S23 will be offered in 128GB and 256GB storage variants, while the S23+ and S23 start with 256GB base models. The S23 Ultra has a 1TB variant exclusively available on Samsung’s website.
This is the first phone series to come with a more strengthened Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2, as well as Wi-Fi 6E support, support for both sub6 and mmWave 5G frequencies, and an ultrasonic fingerprint sensor under the display. - Display: The new screens on the devices offer super AMOLED, still, with significantly less curved sides even in its S23 Ultra variant.
- Cameras: Samsung touts double OIS for low-light scenarios, plus object-based AI and 360-degree audio (compatible with the Galaxy Buds 2) to enhance the video experience. The S23 and S23+, on the other hand, will get Graphite and Lime as exclusive online colors.
