The OPPO Reno11 F presents a compelling option for those seeking a blend of functionality and creativity with a 32-megapixel selfie camera that can take 4K quality videos, but does it deserve to be your next vlogging phone? It’s coming to the Philippines, and here’s our full review.

OPPO Philippines sent us a unit weeks before the launch, to which we can test its capabilities so you’ll have a nice guide on what to expect from the device before it hits stores on March 12. The package consists of the phone itself, a charging brick, a USB A to C data and charging cable, a SIM tray ejector, documentation booklets for user guide and warranty, and an opaque TPU case.

With dimensions measuring 162.41.1mm × 74.7mm × 7.54mm and a weight of 177g, the Reno 11F 5G strikes a balance between form and function. Available in Palm Green, Ocean Blue, and Coral Purple, its design caters to varied tastes. I personally like the Coral Purple one, it’s close enough to resemble pink and seems to be a fun color to showcase around.

Our unit, in a Palm Green color, looks dark in normal scenarios but shows its hidden green hue when light shines on its back. The mineral finish keeps most of the smudges and grime from visible eyes, though you can see more with the protruding part that houses the cameras and flash since it has a glossier finish that emits a radial fractal design to further highlight it.

The right side has the power/lock button and the volume keys, all protruding from the flat, chamfered edges. Similar to its back, it has a mineral finish so you don’t have to worry about fingerprints.

The absence of a 3.5mm audio jack is evident in this phone and is reminiscent of the other Reno11 series phones released recently. At the bottom, we have the microphone, the USB-C port, and a loudspeaker.

The left side has the SIM card tray, which offers a hybrid setup of either two nano SIM cards or a SIM and a microSD card for additional storage.

Up front is the AMOLED display, with the 32-megapixel selfie camera positioned at the upper middle part. The call speaker is indented just right above it. The bezels are thin enough to use in any orientation, but in no way equal in size as the chin at the bottom part aids in usage when in landscape orientation.

Similar to other devices we’ve had, the Reno11 F offers a firm grip due to its chamfered sides and rounded glass at the front, which should not be an issue for those even with sweaty hands. We still recommend using the supplied case in the package for extra protection.

OPPO Reno11 F Review Philippines: Display

Here’s a 6.7-inch FHD+ OLED display with a resolution of 2412 × 1080 pixels and a 120Hz refresh rate, and it looks great. Vivid visuals, fluid motions, and responsive touch interactions are what you can expect when using the phone. Its brightness may have some hiccups under bright sunlight with some glare but is just fine when used in shaded areas such as in this photo.

Using the phone has been good with the visuals. We did not have any hiccups with its touch responses or colors, as they have all been good from the get-go. It only has a single loudspeaker, though, which is the one at the bottom but does not necessarily hamper your entertainment consumption.

It’s loud even in scenarios such as sitting on outside tables of a restaurant on a Sunday afternoon, and it’s audible even when playing music on the loudspeaker while driving a scooter.

Its tones are somewhat decent – you get defined vocals, mids, and highs with faint bass. Most instruments are well-pronounced but by no means audiophile-worthy.

Sadly, this doesn’t offer wired connections through a 3.5mm audio jack, so you’re left with either using a USB-C adapter to listen directly from the phone or using your preferred wireless audio device.

OPPO Reno11 F Review Philippines: Camera

The device boasts a versatile camera setup, including a 64MP main sensor, an 8MP wide lens, and a 2MP macro lens on the rear. Notably, the 32MP Sony IMX615 selfie camera with 4K video recording capability caters to content creators, offering enhanced options for capturing moments and creating content. OPPO also brought in the imaging tech from the Reno series to this model, despite not having telephoto lenses.

The results? Quite good. The rear camera photos boast good colors, contrast, and dynamic range, even when zoomed at 5x. Photos appear to be brighter with the ultrawide 0.6x zoom, unlike when done at 1x or more. Its portrait mode cleanly separates the subject from the background for that nice bokeh effect. Even the front camera takes good details in low-light conditions.

Here are some sample photos:

Videos, too, are crispy with the phone. Both front and back camera setups take 4K video, which should be useful for your short-form video uploads. You only have EIS for 1080p recordings, and with what we’ve shot they’re pretty stable. Here’s a sample video:

OPPO Reno11 F Review Philippines: Performance

Running on ColorOS 14 based on Android 14, the device provides a user-friendly interface with ample customization options. What I like the most are the added features for everyday use, including call filtering and

Sure there are apps already pre-installed when you open it for the first time and I’ve finally come to understand that some apps that are already on the device are also useful for my lifestyle, but it’s not 2017 anymore and you can easily uninstall these when you don’t need them at all. FinEasy, however, is out of that equation so I just disable the app.

The device is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7050 chipset and Mali-G68 MC4 GPU, the Reno 11F 5G offers sufficient performance for everyday tasks and moderate gaming. With 8GB of RAM (plus up to 8GB of additional VRAM) and 256GB of storage, multitasking and content storage are adequately supported. You also have an extra 4GB of VRAM for extra performance oomph, which you can extend to up to 8GB using the settings menu.

Performance, in general, is smooth and did not have any hiccups during multitasking. Gaming with PUBG can be set to Ultra, Mobile Legends Bang Bang at Super Frame Rate in Ultra Graphics, and Genshin Impact in Highest at 60fps setting will get you at least 40fps average during gameplay. With an AnTuTu score of 598,437, you’re guaranteed to have less hiccups on most gaming experiences in moderate settings, but expect some heat on the upper back part during gameplay, so it’s best to lower them down if you’re not that keen on the graphic details.

OPPO also guarantees that your phone works like new for up to 48 months with its fluency technology. Despite engaging the phone to heavy usage in the past weeks, the phone still runs as new every single day.

Support for 5G and 4G LTE ensures fast and reliable connectivity, complemented by Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.2. The inclusion of NFC adds convenience for contactless transactions. Biometric authentication options, including a fingerprint scanner on the display and face unlock, offer secure access to the device and personal data.

OPPO Reno11 F Review Philippines: Battery Life

A sizable 5,000mAh battery paired with 67W SUPERVOOC charging ensures extended usage durations and quick replenishment. The new Smart Charging feature also helps you further extend your battery’s life by harnessing the power of AI in determining your phone usage and how it will charge the phone depending on your case. The Reno 11 F scored around 16 hours on the PCMark Battery Test, which means it could go on well over a day of juice with light to moderate use.
