The holiday season is here and everyone’s excited to celebrate it with family and friends. However, times are tough and we could not celebrate it with everyone physically just yet therefore we opt to celebrate the festivities virtually. Part of this is having a good smartphone that we can use for video calls to greet everyone. So, we are giving you a list of smartphones you can buy for yourself or your loved ones this Christmas all for under PHP 10,000!

Cherry Mobile Aqua S10 Pro

This smartphone is the first from the brand to sport the unified “CHERRY” branding, dropping the old Cherry Mobile logo as they diversify their product line. It sports a 6.7-inch Full HD+ TruView Display with a punch-hole for the 16MP front camera.

Inside, the MediaTek Helio G90 processor runs everything and is powered by a huge 5000mAh battery with 30W fast charge and 10W wireless charging. On the rear sits the 48MP Samsung GM1 ISOCELL camera in a quad set-up.

The Cherry Mobile Aqua S10 Pro is a good buy from one of the trusted brands in the Philippines for bang for the buck devices. This is currently priced at PHP 7,999 and is available in Infinite Gray.

Infinix HOT 11s

The newly-announced Infinix HOT 11s is made for gamers on a budget but still packs beefy specs for its price. It features a 6.78-inch FHD+ display with a punch-hole camera and an octa-core MediaTek Helio G88 gaming processor which the brand boasts to be a Dual-chip processor.

A huge 5000mAh battery with 18W USB-C fast charge powers the device for long periods of gameplay and the rear 50MP main camera in a triple camera set-up handles its photography tricks.

The 4GB+64GB variant of the Infinix HOT 11s is priced at PHP 6,990 and once again proved that the brand can offer beefy specs at a lower price. This is available in Green Wave, Polar Black, and 7°Purple colors. There’s also a higher 6GB+128GB variant for PHP 7,990.

Infinix Note 10 Pro

Another gaming smartphone from Infinix is the Note 10 Pro which is powered by the MediaTek Helio G95 gaming processor, a step-up from the HOT 11s’ processor. This boasts a huge 128GB UFS 2.2 internal storage that is still expandable up to 2TB via the microSD card slot.

Upfront is a vast 6.95-inch FHD+ IPS LCD that is TÜV Rheinland Certified and sports a 90Hz refresh rate. At the back sits its quad rear cameras comprising of a 64MP main camera, 8MP ultra-wide, 2MP B&W, and 2MP portrait. And upfront, the 16MP front-facing camera takes care of selfies.

The note-worthy Infinix Note 10 Pro can be purchased for only PHP 9,990 and is available in 95°Back, Nordic Secret, and 7°Purple colors.

Nokia G10

One of Nokia’s latest offerings on the entry-level segment is the Nokia G10, which was announced alongside its bigger brother, the Nokia G20. The G10 boasts a whopping 5050mAh battery, the biggest Nokia has placed on a phone so far, which the brand promises will last up to three days of use. This sports the latest Android 11 OS that sits in an almost stock Android UI and will receive three years of security updates from Google.

Upfront is a 6.5-inch HD+ screen covered in 2.5D Cover Glass with an 8MP front-facing camera at the top. The back has a carbon fiber-like design that also houses a triple camera set-up: 13MP main, 2MP depth, 2MP macro. This is powered by the MediaTek Helio G25 octa-core processor with HyperEngine Technology and is coupled with 4GB RAM+64GB internal storage.

Priced at PHP 6,990, the Nokia G10 is available in Blue/Silver and Purple colors and carries the brand that we are all familiar with.

OPPO A16K

This is the newest entry-level contender as part of the brand’s A series of smartphones. It packs a lot of features as an entry-level smartphone such as the MediaTek Helio G35 SoC, a large battery, and a 6.52-inch HD+ screen.

The A16K’s display features All-day Eye Care comprising of Sunlight Display, Moonlight Display, and AI Smart Backlight to avoid eye strain in a long period of use. On the outside, it only measures 7.85mm thick and weighs 175g. It also has a 3D back cover and is available in Black and Blue finishes.

Priced at PHP 6,999, the OPPO A16K is available in Black and Blue colors and is a solid choice for its price.

OPPO A54 (6GB+128GB variant)

Splash-proof phones are a little hard to find at this price point. Good thing the OPPO A54 has one. It sports an IPX4 splash-resistant body in Crystal Black and Starry Blue colors. Its back houses a triple camera set-up comprised of a 13MP main unit, 2MP macro, and 2MP bokeh camera. Upfront is a 16MP front-facing camera with an f/2.0 aperture for those bright selfies.

Inside, a 5000mAh battery with 18W fast charge powers the whole smartphone together with a MediaTek Helio P35 CPU with a generous 6GB RAM and 128GB eMMC5.1 internal storage.

Priced at PHP 9,999, the OPPO A54 6GB+128GB variant is an interesting buy, especially with its splash-resistant body.

OPPO A55

The OPPO A55 is the successor to the OPPO A54 which features a new design, better cameras, a newer OS version, anda faster processor. Upfront sits a 16MP front facing camera in a 6.51-inch punch hole display. While at the back is a new triple camera set-up that includes a new 50MP main camera.

Inside, the MediaTek Helio G35 CPU powers the whole smartphone coupled with 4GB RAM and 64GB internal storage. The battery stays the same as the OPPO A54 at 5000mAh with 18W fast charge and also the IPX4 splash resistance.

Priced at PHP 9,999, the OPPO A55 is priced the same as the OPPO A54 6GB+128GB variant and comes with a couple of new and improved specs and features but the latter is comes with a bigger RAM and internal storage.

Samsung Galaxy A12 (6GB+128GB variant)

One of Samsung’s entry-level offerings that offer powerful specs for its price is the Samsung Galaxy A12. One of its iconic features is its textured back that prevents it from slipping out of the hands and is a nice touch to the hard plastic material.

It features a quad rear camera setup complemented with an 8MP front-facing camera. It also sports Samsung’s One UI 2.0 based on Android 10 and a 5000mAh battery which supports 15W of fast charging.

The Samsung Galaxy A12 6GB+128GB variant is a nice buy from the Korean brand known by everyone. This is priced at PHP 9,990 and is available in Blue, White, and Black.

Samsung Galaxy M12

Samsung’s online exclusive offering, the Samsung Galaxy M12 resembles the Samsung Galaxy A12 6GB+128GB variant when it comes to the exterior design but features water-downed specs with a more updated OS version.

It features an octa-core processor coupled with 4GB RAM and 64GB internal storage. At the back sits the quad camera set-up that comprises of a 48MP main camera, 5MP ultra-wide, 2MP macro, and 2MP depth camera. Upfront sits the 8MP front camera together with its 6.5-inch LCD screen.

The Samsung Galaxy M12 is priced at PHP 7,490 and is available in Black, Blue, and Green colors.

vivo Y20s [G]

The vivo Y20s [G] is a budget smartphone made for gamers, hence the [G] on its name. It is rocking an octa-core MediaTek Helio G80 processor coupled with 6GB RAM+128GB internal storage. Its gaming capabilities are also complemented by a Multi-Turbo 3.0 and Ultra Game Mode.

Upfront is a 6.51-inch Halo FullView IPS LCD with eye protection mode, perfect for those long gaming sessions. Inside is a huge 5000mAh battery capable of 18W fast charge and reverse wired charging. Its triple camera set-up at the back highlighted by the 13MP main unit with Phase-detection AF takes care of its photography capabilities.

At PHP 9,999, the vivo Y20s [G] will be a hit for gamers especially with its Obsidian Black and Purist Blue colors.

Xiaomi Redmi 10 (6GB+128GB variant)

The Xiaomi Redmi 10 features powerful specs for its price point. This is the first Xiaomi smartphone to ship out with a MediaTek Helio G88 CPU. At the back is a quad-camera set-up that is comprised of a 50MP main camera, 8MP ultra-wide, 2MP depth, and 2MP macro camera.

Upfront is a punch-hole camera at 8MP inside a 6.5-inch display with a 90Hz AdaptiveSync refresh rate that can go as low as 45Hz. Fueling the 5000mAh battery inside is an 18W fast charge and supports 9W reverse wired charging. Other features include a 3.5mm headphone jack and an IR blaster which is rare for smartphones these days.

Priced at PHP 8,590, the Xiaomi Redmi 10 6GB+128GB variant comes in Carbon Gray, Pebble White, and Sea Blue colors.

Xiaomi Redmi Note 10 5G (4GB+128GB variant)

The Xiaomi Redmi Note 10 5G is the only smartphone on this list that features 5G connectivity which is rare for this price point. Aside from that, it features a 5000mAh battery with 18W fast charging via USB-C, MediaTek Dimensity 700 octa-core CPU, and a combination of 4GB RAM+128GB internal storage.

Another unique and rare feature of this smartphone is its built-in IR blaster which can be used to control several home appliances such as airconditioning units and televisions. Other specs include a 6.5-inch FHD+ IPS DotDisplay with a variable refresh rate of up to 90Hz and a triple camera set-up.

The Xiaomi Redmi Note 10 5G is priced at PHP 9,990 for the 4GB+128GB variant and is a great buy if you are looking for a 5G-ready phone at this price range.
