Beeper Mini: The App that lets you chat via iMessage on Android Phones

Beeper Mini, a new app, promises to be that app you need to contact your iPhone friends, even on an Android smartphone. We tried it ourselves and here’s what we think about it.

Just announced a few hours ago, the app promises to bring iMessage to Androids so you won’t be left out with all the conversation. We tried it since it has a 7-day free trial, and here’s why it can be a game-changer.

Setup is easy. You just download the app from the Google Play Store, and then log in with your Google Account. you have a choice to set up the app using your mobile number or log in to your Apple ID (which I did).

The funny thing is, my current main phone (a HONOR 90 5G) fails to bring up the Google sign-in prompt while everything was smooth in my work phone (a realme 10 Pro 5G).

Beeper Mini promises these things:

  1. Your Android Number is Now a Blue Bubble! One of the most exciting features Beeper Mini brings to the table is the transformation of your Android phone number into a blue bubble. This means you can now send and receive blue bubble texts, bridging the gap between Android and iPhone users. Joining iPhone-only group chats becomes effortless, as friends can now add your phone number instead of your email address. Enjoy all the familiar chat features, from typing status to emoji reactions, with the added charm of blue bubbles.
  2. Increased Security and Privacy Beeper Mini distinguishes itself by prioritizing security and privacy. Unlike previous attempts, this Android app skips the Mac relay server in data centers and connects directly to Apple servers for end-to-end encrypted messaging. Your encryption keys stay on your device, ensuring a heightened level of security. No Apple ID is required, and Beeper does not access your Apple account, ensuring a privacy-focused experience.
  3. Beautiful New Design and Blazing Fast Speed The developers behind Beeper Mini understand the importance of a visually appealing and speedy interface. The app boasts a beautiful new design that is not only visually pleasing but also optimized for fast performance. With a focus on modern chat features, the experience is streamlined, clean, and straightforward. Material Design brings the best of blue bubbles to Android, creating a cohesive and interoperable chatting environment.
  4. Standalone Android App – No Additional Devices Required Beeper Mini breaks free from the constraints of external devices. Unlike its predecessors, this app operates as a standalone Android application. No server, laptop, Mac, or iPhone is required, making it easy for users to seamlessly integrate Beeper Mini into their daily messaging routine.

I was able to test messaging with a few of my friends who are using iPhones, and the results were surprisingly good across everything. You can do everything an iPhone user can do – send photos, voice messages, calls, and even react to messages. Location sharing isn’t working on my end, so I hope a new update will fix that.

The Beeper Mini’s latest features mark a significant step forward in making iMessage ability on Android a reality. With a free 7-day trial and a straightforward PHP 115 per month subscription model, Beeper Mini aligns its success with user satisfaction, ensuring a commitment to continuous improvement and innovation without compromising on privacy and data security.
