AMD unlocks next gen performance with the AMD Ryzen 8040 Series

AMD introduces the latest AMD Ryzen 8040 Series mobile processors. These processors aim to elevate mobile computing by delivering top-notch x86 processor performance. The highlight of this release is the integration of the Ryzen AI NPU (Neural Processing Unit) on select models, marking a leap in AI-powered PCs available in the market.

The AMD Ryzen 8040 Series processors promise up to 1.6 times more AI processing performance than previous AMD models. This advancement is designed to offer users new premium experiences and seamless AI-ready capabilities.

To complement these strides, AMD also unveiled the Ryzen AI Software, widely accessible for users to effortlessly construct and deploy machine learning models on their AI-enabled PCs.

Expected to be broadly available from leading OEMs like Acer, Asus, Dell, HP, Lenovo, and Razer, the AMD Ryzen 8040 Series processors are slated for release in Q1 of 2024. Jack Huynh, SVP and GM of AMD’s computing and graphics business emphasized the company’s commitment to delivering high-performance, power-efficient NPUs with Ryzen AI technology, reimagining the possibilities of PC technology.
