TCL Electronics recently marked its 25th year in the Philippines with the 2025 TCL Grand Launch held at Okada Manila. The event, themed “Legendary Moment, Timeless Greatness,” highlighted the brand’s journey, milestones, and vision for the future.

Why it matters: TCL is now recognized by OMDIA as the Triple Global Top 1 TV Brand for 2024 in Mini-LED, Google TV, and ultra-large screen TVs (85 inches and above). With two and a half decades in the country, TCL aims to expand further by offering smart, efficient, and accessible tech products for Filipino homes.
TCL highlighted how its technologies have helped improve daily life for Filipinos—from entertainment to home care. Its products like smart TVs, energy-saving washing machines, and air conditioners have become common in many homes.
Griffin Zhang, General Manager of TCL Asia Pacific, opened the program by thanking the brand’s partners for its growth in the Philippines. He noted that TCL leads local sales in TVs and air conditioners and has been gaining momentum in refrigerators and washing machines.
Peter Chen, CEO of TCL Philippines, emphasized that the brand focuses on innovation, design, and creating meaningful tech experiences. He shared that TCL aims to go beyond trends and push boundaries through sustainable and user-friendly technologies.
The company also presented its 2025 lineup:

- X11K QD-MiniLED TV: To be launched soon, offering sharper visuals.
- FreshIn 3.0 Air Conditioner: With award-winning features and smarter climate control.
- SuperDrum Combo+ C682 Washer and Dryer: A smart front-load machine focused on energy savings and convenience.
- Bottom-Mounted AAT Inverter+ C436BMSB Refrigerator: Designed to improve food storage and power efficiency.
A key moment during the launch was the announcement of TCL’s extended partnership with the International Olympic Committee until 2032. TCL will provide tech to Olympic villages and improve fan experiences worldwide.
Shae Yu, Deputy Director of Marketing, shared how this partnership connects TCL’s goals with the Olympic spirit of excellence and progress. She said TCL hopes to bring Olympic-level innovation into everyday homes while staying committed to sustainability.

To celebrate the moment, Olympic pole vaulter EJ Obiena joined the event. Ranked No. 4 in the world and the current Asian record holder, Obiena spoke about the shared values of determination and improvement between athletes and tech innovators.
The program also introduced TCL’s new local brand partners: actress Rhian Ramos and comedienne Valeen Montenegro. Both shared their excitement about representing a brand that focuses on smart, accessible tech.
Valeen’s favorite product is the TCL QD MiniLED TV, which she says turned her home into a great hangout spot. Rhian, on the other hand, praised the FreshIn 3.0 air conditioner for its voice control features and energy efficiency.
The night ended with a toast led by Cyd Montebon and Wesley Yang of TCL Philippines, thanking supporters and partners for the brand’s 25-year journey. They promised to continue offering tech that improves everyday life for Filipinos.
TCL says it’s ready to move forward, aiming to be part of more Filipino homes through products that are practical, stylish, and innovative.
