Why it matters: These models expand Samsung’s portable speaker lineup in the Philippines, offering high power output, built-in batteries, and app-controlled lighting, making them suitable for events, home parties, and outdoor activities.

The MX-ST50F delivers up to 240 watts of power and comes with a telescopic handle and built-in wheels for easy movement. It has a built-in battery rated for up to 18 hours of playtime and is splash-resistant with an IPX4 rating. Meanwhile, the smaller MX-ST40F outputs up to 160 watts and has a 12-hour battery life, making it a lighter, more compact option.

Both speakers feature Bluetooth connectivity, USB playback, wired group play, and support for Samsung’s Auracast Broadcast Audio for multi-device audio streaming. They also include Party Lights+ lighting effects that can be customized using a mobile app.

Samsung showcased the two models during its Sound Sessions event in Manila, featuring performances from OPM band Over October to demonstrate the speakers’ sound quality and features in a live setup.

The MX-ST50F and MX-ST40F are now available for PHP 28,999 and PHP 18,999, respectively, through Samsung’s official website and authorized retailers in the Philippines. Each purchase includes a free microphone until December 31, 2025.

Will Samsung’s new Sound Tower lineup become the go-to choice for parties and gatherings in Filipino homes?
