Wiko Mobile to launch in the Philippines

France-based brand poised to bring competitive phones to the local scene

France-based smartphone brand Wiko Mobile is officially launching in the Philippines, as we received invites to their upcoming press conference next month.

The brand is known in the European market for bringing to their affordably-priced phones with power-packed features. Such is the case that local brand Cloudfone brought some of the previously-released Wiko phones into the country and rebadged them under their brand.

WalasTech has discovered that the brand has set up official stores on eCommerce platforms showcasing some of their products, with official prices to follow on the press launch by June 1. These phones are expected to be available starting June 2 on Lazada and Shopee.

Among those that are expected to be launched are devices that will target the entry-level to mid-range markets and includes these:

  • Wiko T3 (MediaTek Helio P35, 4GB RAM, 128GB storage, 5000mAh battery)
  • Wiko T50 (MediaTek Helio G85, 6GB RAM, 128GB storage, 4000mAh battery with 40W fast charge)
  • Wiko Y82 (Unisoc SC9863, 3GB RAM, 32GB storage, 3600mAh battery)
  • Wiko T10 (MediaTek Helio A22, 2GB RAM, 64GB storage, 5000mAh battery)

Wiko describes their company as inspired by the “french touch,” spread all over the world with the same values: easiness, accessibility, diversity & proximity. Aside from France, the brand is also available in other European countries including Germany, Italy, Belgium, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Switzerland, Austria, Spain, Portugal & Algeria, as well as expanding internationally to Africa (Kenya, Nigeria), Middle East (Saudi Arabia), and Southeast Asia (Indonesia, Vietnam).

More information on these phones, as well as their price tags will be available as the launch comes near. Stay tuned for more updates.
