Why it Matters: Championship placements in regional esports tournaments often influence team rankings, sponsorship interest, and invitations to larger international competitions, making every match result significant beyond prize money alone.

Evolution Team secured the title by sweeping the first three matches, leaving Kadiliman Esports with no room to recover. What many expected to be a close back-and-forth battle instead turned into a one-sided finish, with Evolution Team maintaining control in both offense and defense rounds across all three games.

In a post-match interview, EVO mentions that they have been playing the Chinese version of the game for years before they transitioned to the global version, which was just released a few months ago. They also attributed group plays by opponents HeartFire, Kadiliman Esports, and Vanguard Familia as some of the toughest they have encountered in the tournament, but had no issues battling them in solo competition. EVO also thanked their fans for the support and looks forward to joining more tournaments in the future.

Kadiliman Esports, on the other hand, recognizes Evolution Team’s experience as their biggest threat and vows to capture the regional championship win in the next season.

Earlier in the day, Vietnam-based Heart Fire locked in third place after defeating hometown team Vanguard Familia in a best-of-three series. Vanguard Familia won the opening match, but Heart Fire responded in the second round and closed the deciding game with a 10 to 4 scoreline. The tournament featured a total prize pool of USD45,000, with USD15,500 awarded to the champion and the remaining amount distributed among the top teams.
