Globe, GCash empower OFWs via all-in-one connectivity solution

Remaining connected with loved ones back home

Globe Telecom (Globe) and GCash joined forces to empower OFWs via an all-in-one connectivity solution. Overseas Filipinos with Globe Prepaid and TM SIMs can now use GCash to top-up and register to roaming promos.

Globe’s Roam Surf data packs come with free GCash access so customers can use the platform to remit funds for free, pay bills, and manage other financial transactions. With the first-ever GCash-exclusive roaming offer, Roam All Net 99 for only PHP 99/day, gives OFWs 30 mins of outgoing and incoming calls and 30 all-net texts, saving more than PHP 4,200 on regular roaming rates.

In addition, Globe has included affordable International Direct Dial (IDD) promos in GCash. Through Globe’s GOCALL IDD offers, families of OFWs in the Philippines get up to 80 minutes in call credits to North America and Asia, and 40 minutes to Europe and Africa. They can choose any of the four GOCall IDD variants available in the app: GOCALLIDD 30/50/99/199.

Moreover, Globe subscribers in the Philippines may purchase a roaming promo for their loved ones abroad through the Buy Load feature on GCash. Just simply input the number and choose the roaming offer under the Roaming & Int’l tab. And thanks to GCash’s remittance partners in more than 31 countries worldwide, it is now easier for OFWs to cash-in funds and transfer them to other GCash users.

“Globe and GCash have a shared proposition of empowering the OFW community to remain in control of their finances and stay connected with their families while abroad. Now, sending money and paying for expenses of those back home, plus subscribing to roaming offers can all be done in just one app,” said Coco Domingo, Globe Vice President for Postpaid and International Business.
