In a bid to expand its presence in the Philippine affordable smartphone market, HONOR has officially launched the HONOR X8b. Boasting a sizable 6.7-inch FHD+ AMOLED display with a 90Hz refresh rate and a peak brightness of 2000 nits, the device aims to offer users an immersive viewing experience.
Under the hood, the HONOR X8b is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 680 chipset, featuring an octa-core processor clocked at up to 2.4GHz. Paired with 8GB of RAM, the device promises smooth performance for everyday tasks and multitasking. Storage options come in three variants: 128GB, 256GB, and 512GB, providing ample space for users to store their files, apps, and multimedia content.
The X8b also features a mini capsule animation for various tasks such as the battery and other notifications, and it’s one of the first HONOR devices to receive a five-star drop resistance certification from SGS Switzerland.
Camera-wise, the HONOR X8b sports a triple rear camera setup, including a 108MP main sensor, a 5MP ultrawide lens, and a 2MP macro lens. For selfies, it features a 50MP front-facing camera housed within a pill-shaped notch, accompanied by an LED flash.
Connectivity options include dual nano-SIM support, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth 5.0, and GPS with support for various navigation systems. The device also features a USB Type-C port for charging and data transfer, along with a side-mounted fingerprint sensor for biometric authentication.
Running on MagicOS 7.2 based on Android 13, the HONOR X8b is fueled by a 4500mAh battery with support for 35W HONOR SuperCharge technology, promising fast charging capabilities.
Measuring 161.05 x 74.55 x 6.78 mm and weighing approximately 166g, the device is available in three color options: Glamorous Green, Titanium Silver, and Midnight Black.
