Infinix brands it as a high-performance gaming phone under the message “Everyone can be a Gaming Master.” But does the Infinix GT 30 truly let anyone step up their game, or are there trade-offs hidden beneath the glowing rear panel? Here’s our full review of what the brand touts its newest affordable high-performance gaming phone.

Gaming phones often cost more than most people are willing to spend. With their flashy designs, custom triggers, and bright displays, they usually live in the flagship price range. The Infinix GT30 aims to break that mold by targeting hobbyists and casual gamers under the idea that everyone can play.
Unlike the Infinix GT 30 Pro, which is built for aspiring pro players, the GT30 focuses on making features like its cyberpunk-inspired design, dual shoulder triggers with GT Trigger, a 1.5K AMOLED panel, and MLBB 120 FPS certification accessible to a wider audience in the midrange category.
What’s in the box? The retail unit we got from Infinix Philippines contains a sleeve for their continuing partnership with the Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Professional League Philippines (MPL PH). The box contains a clear TPU case, documentation, a SIM card tray ejector pin, the phone itself, a USB A-C data and charging cable, and a 45-watt charger.

Design and Construction
The Infinix GT 30 isn’t shy about its identity. From the back panel alone, it announces itself as a gaming phone with “cyberpunk vibes” written all over it. The design features geometric accents and Infinix’s esports totem branding, paired with interactive white lighting effects.

The lights aren’t just decoration—they respond to 14 system scenarios like incoming calls, charging, music, and notifications, with more than 20 designs to choose from.
Our unit, in the new Pulse Green colorway, offers a bold alternative to the darker finishes. It’s very striking and pleasing at the same time, and the color adds character to the device.

Despite the futuristic look, the Infinix GT 30 keeps things practical. It’s not overly heavy, and its curved edges make long gaming sessions comfortable. The build is plastic, but it feels sturdy enough to withstand daily use.
Display and Audio
The display is one of the Infinix GT 30’s strongest assets. The 6.78-inch AMOLED panel runs at a 1.5K resolution, and the 144Hz refresh rate makes every swipe and animation smooth. Brightness levels reach up to 4500 nits, meaning sunlight visibility isn’t a problem. The TÜV-certified eye-care features and high-frequency PWM dimming also reduce strain during long hours of gaming or reading.

Pairing this with JBL-tuned stereo speakers adds immersion. Whether watching Netflix or diving into an FPS title, audio came through loud and clear. Vocals are crisp, and there’s enough bass to give explosions weight without overpowering the mids.
Camera
The Infinix GT 30 may be marketed as a gaming phone, but its cameras hold their own. The 108MP OIS main sensor captures sharp photos in daylight with strong dynamic range. Stabilization helps keep shots steady at night, though grain creeps in when light gets too low.

The 32MP selfie shooter produces detailed photos with natural colors, and it works well for social uploads. Video recording is adequate, though content creators might prefer devices with stronger stabilization and software features.

The cameras aren’t the main reason to buy this phone, but they’re a step above the “afterthought” category that many gaming-centric devices fall into.
Performance (Software, Hardware, and Connectivity)
At the heart of the Infinix GT 30 is the MediaTek Dimensity 7400 5G, paired with up to 16GB RAM and 256GB UFS 3.1 storage. In real-world use, performance was smooth across the board. Apps loaded quickly, multitasking was seamless, and heavy apps like video editors didn’t lag.

For gaming, Infinix leaned heavily on its MPL Official Smartphone Partner badge. The GT30 isn’t just optimized—it has High Frame Rate Certification from publishers for 10 titles, including but not limited to these:
- Mobile Legends: Bang Bang (Certified 120 FPS)
- PUBG Mobile
- Call of Duty: Mobile
- Genshin Impact
- Free Fire
- Delta Force
- ROV
- Standoff 2
MLBB at 120 FPS felt excellent, with crisp animations and stable frame rates. Delta Force also ran smoothly, showing no serious frame drops even in action-heavy firefights. Genshin Impact played well at medium to high settings, though enabling full 60 FPS stability required tweaking graphics options.

Similar to the GT30 Pro, Infinix deployed its XBOOST AI panel for supported games that enhances your gameplay in terms of touch sampling, button mapping, and performance boost features.
The GT Trigger buttons deserve special mention. These capacitive shoulder triggers have 7ms latency and a 520Hz touch sampling rate, putting them on par with dedicated gaming phones. In shooters, mapping aim and fire here freed up thumbs for movement. In MOBAs, they made quick gear swaps and skill casts much easier.

But what surprised us most was how useful the GT Trigger was outside of games. Infinix included a “9+1 shortcut suite” that lets you map them to system functions or apps. We tried them for instant camera launch, quick screen recording, and even media controls like pausing YouTube or skipping songs. This versatility makes the triggers a feature for everyone, not just gamers.
The phone also features Infinix’s 3D VCC cooling system with a large 20,000mm² heat dissipation area. During long sessions in MLBB or Genshin, the phone warmed up but never to the point of discomfort, and frame stability was better than expected for the class.
Connectivity is equally strong, with stable Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.3, and 5G performance. Call quality and signal reception remained solid even in weaker network areas.
Battery and Charging
The 5,000mAh battery inside the consistently lasted us a full day of mixed gaming, streaming, and social use. Moderate users could stretch it into the next day.

Charging with the 45W fast charger was quick and reliable. In our tests, a full charge took just around an hour. You can also choose to bypass the charging to preserve your battery health while you play all day.
Infinix is also bundling a GT30 MagCooling Fan with early purchases. This magnetic accessory attaches to the rear panel and helps dissipate heat during extended gaming sessions. With the fan attached, we noticed more consistent frame rates in demanding games, particularly in Genshin Impact.
The Rundown
The Infinix GT 30 is a phone that knows its audience. It’s designed for gamers but still versatile enough for everyday life. The cyberpunk design with interactive lighting, the GT Triggers for console-like control, and the MLBB-certified 120 FPS gameplay all push it into the “serious gaming phone” category.

At the same time, its JBL speakers, capable cameras, and bright AMOLED screen ensure it isn’t just a one-trick device. So back to the big question: does it make everyone a gaming master? Based on our time with it, the answer is yes—at least for those who want gaming features at a reachable price.
The Infinix GT 30 comes with up to 16GB RAM (8GB + 8GB extended) and 256GB of storage, priced at PHP 11,999 on Shopee, Lazada, and TikTok Shop.
