Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge goes official with slim design, 200MP camera, and Galaxy AI

Samsung has launched the Galaxy S25 Edge, a thinner version of its flagship phone. It features a 6.66-inch OLED display, Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 for Galaxy, and a 200MP main camera — all packed into a slim 5.8mm frame.

Why it matters: The Galaxy S25 Edge is Samsung’s answer to the rising trend of design-focused flagships. It aims to appeal to users who want high-end performance and features in a lighter and slimmer body.

The phone uses a titanium frame and Gorilla Glass Ceramic 2 for durability while keeping the weight at just 163 grams. Samsung also redesigned the vapor chamber to improve heat management despite the smaller internal space.

On the back is a dual camera setup with a 200MP wide sensor and a 12MP ultra-wide camera with autofocus. The front camera uses a 10MP sensor. Galaxy AI features like Generative Edit, Drawing Assist, and Audio Eraser are also included.

It runs on Android 15 with One UI 7 and ships with 12GB of RAM and either 256GB or 512GB of storage. The 3900mAh battery supports 25W wired charging. Wireless charging support was not mentioned.

The Galaxy S25 Edge will be available in South Korea starting May 23, followed by the U.S. on May 30. It comes in Titanium Icy Blue, Titanium Silver, and Titanium Jet Black. Pricing starts at USD 1,099. WalasTech has confirmed with Samsung Philippines that the phone will not arrive locally.
