Globe is introducing new ways for Filipinos to support important causes—just by going about their day. Whether they’re using mobile data, redeeming points, or making online transactions, customers now have simple options to give back through three of Globe’s purpose-driven initiatives.

Why it Matters: By embedding social impact into digital habits, Globe aims to empower its users to contribute to real-world change without extra cost or effort. These small, everyday actions can add up to meaningful support for communities and the environment.
One of the key innovations is GoGives, a feature inside the GlobeOne app. This lets Globe Prepaid users earn “hearts” for every gigabyte of data they use—whether it’s for streaming, gaming, browsing, or chatting. These hearts are automatically donated to support various advocacies like animal rescue, forest protection, women’s digital literacy, children’s education, and healthcare assistance.
“GoGives is designed to inspire our customers to create lasting change. By simply doing the things they love online, they will be able to make a difference each day,” said Givielle Florida, Head of Globe Prepaid.
Another option is through Globe Rewards, where customers can convert their points into donations for partner organizations. These include the Hapag Movement, Philippine Animal Welfare Society (PAWS), Philippine General Hospital Medical Foundation, and Hineleban Foundation, among others. In 2024 alone, Globe Rewards raised PHP 17.8 million in total donations.

“We’ve always believed that rewards should go beyond personal benefit,” said Peter Ramirez, Head of Globe’s Loyalty Program. “With just a few points, our customers can uplift lives, support communities, and be part of something bigger than themselves.”
Meanwhile, GCash users can also take part in a green initiative through GForest. By earning green energy points from regular transactions such as sending money or paying bills, users—referred to as ‘Green Heroes’—can plant virtual trees that GCash converts into real ones. As of 2024, more than 4 million trees have been planted across 14,300 hectares, supporting over 11,200 farming families.
“GForest makes environmental action something you can do from your phone,” said CJ Alegre, Head of Sustainability at GCash. “It’s a powerful way to show that technology and sustainability can go hand-in-hand, and that millions of small actions can lead to real positive change.”
Through GoGives, Globe Rewards, and GForest, Globe continues to promote technology with purpose. These platforms show that even small digital actions can help build a more compassionate and sustainable future—one gigabyte, point, or tree at a time.
