Why it Matters: The results reflect how data and digital platforms continue to power the country’s telecom sector, with more Filipinos relying on mobile internet, fiber broadband, and fintech services for daily communication, work, and transactions.

For full year 2025, Globe recorded consolidated gross service revenues of PHP 165.1 billion, slightly higher than the previous year and its highest to date. Fourth quarter service revenues alone reached PHP 43.4 billion, up 5 percent quarter on quarter. Mobile business revenues hit a record PHP 116.9 billion, with mobile data contributing PHP 101.2 billion as customers continued shifting away from traditional voice and SMS.

Home broadband revenues reached PHP 24.0 billion for the year, supported by fiber adoption despite flat quarter on quarter growth in the fourth quarter. Corporate data revenues also climbed to a record PHP 20.7 billion, helped by demand for cybersecurity, cloud, and business application services.

Earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation, and amortization stood at PHP 87.6 billion, with an EBITDA margin of 53.1 percent. Net income after tax reached PHP 23.3 billion, while core net income settled at PHP 20.9 billion after excluding one-off items.

Globe also highlighted the continued contribution of its fintech affiliate Mynt, the operator of GCash. Globe’s equity share in Mynt amounted to PHP 6.1 billion for 2025, accounting for about 22 percent of its pre-tax income.

On the network side, the company reduced capital expenditures by 18 percent year on year to PHP 46.2 billion while still expanding infrastructure. Globe rolled out over 1,500 new 5G sites in 2025, reaching more than 98 percent outdoor population coverage in Metro Manila and key cities. It also deployed over 115,000 new fiber-to-the-home lines nationwide.

The company ended 2025 with a mobile subscriber base of about 65.8 million, up 8 percent from the previous year. GFiber Prepaid subscriptions surpassed 820,000 customers, reinforcing Globe’s push into mass-market fiber services.

Looking ahead to 2026, Globe expects low to mid single-digit revenue growth, EBITDA margins in the low 50 percent range, and capital expenditures to remain below USD 1 billion as it focuses on efficiency and free cash flow generation. With data usage and digital finance continuing to grow, can Globe maintain its momentum while balancing network investments and profitability?
