OPPO shared its vision for Agentic AI during Google Cloud Next 2025, emphasizing its approach to developing AI tools through a mix of in-house innovation and collaboration with Google Cloud.
Why it matters: AI is becoming more common in mobile devices and services. OPPO’s strategy aims to make AI more useful, secure, and personal for everyday users by working closely with major tech partners like Google.

Jason Liao, President of the OPPO Research Institute, said the company is focused on improving user experiences: “Our goal is clear—to lead in AI innovation and deliver the best experiences for users.”
At the event, OPPO introduced AI Search, a tool developed with Google Cloud that allows users to retrieve information from different types of documents using natural language. This system-level AI feature is part of OPPO’s broader focus on AI in areas like productivity, creativity, and imaging.

OPPO is also working on a new “user knowledge system” to organize and learn from user data such as activities, interests, and memories. This aims to provide more personalized and intelligent interactions while addressing the problem of scattered data across apps and devices.
Earlier this year, OPPO also launched its AI Private Computing Cloud (PCC), built with Google Cloud’s Confidential Computing. This ensures that AI data stays secure and private through end-to-end encryption and isolated processing environments.
With these efforts, OPPO hopes to enable 100 million users to benefit from its AI features by the end of 2025. Will AI-powered smartphones soon become the new standard for personal tech?
