These cards boast twice the speed of CFexpress 2.0 memory cards and a unique capability of upgrading previous-generation Atlas 2.0 memory cards to the new Compact Flash Association (CFA) CFexpress 4.0 specification.
Unprecedented Speed for Enhanced Performance
The newly launched Atlas Pro 256GB, Atlas Pro 512GB, Atlas Ultra 1TB, and Atlas Ultra 2TB memory cards utilize PCIe Gen 4 technology, offering impressive read and write speeds of 3650MB/s and 3000MB/s, respectively, which represents a substantial 97% increase over their predecessors. These significant speed enhancements enable the capture of high-quality 4K, 6K, and 8K+ videos while also facilitating content access and offloading for editing and distribution. Despite their remarkable performance, OWC memory cards consume only one-third of the allowable power, making them suitable for various battery-operated cameras.
Industry’s First Compatibility Upgrades
OWC, with over three decades of technological solutions experience, extends the life of technology once again. The new Atlas CFexpress 4.0 memory cards introduce OWC’s Innergize™ software, allowing users to upgrade the firmware on previous PCIe Gen3 Atlas Ultra 1TB and 2TB cards to CFexpress 4.0 firmware. This unique upgrade nearly doubles the current read and write speeds, offering 3650MB/s and 3000MB/s, up from 1850MB/s and 1700MB/s.
Additionally, Atlas CFexpress CFA 4.0 memory cards maintain backward compatibility with CFA 2.0 PCIe Gen 3 hosts, ensuring both flexibility and performance.

The new version of OWC Innergize, offering the capability to upgrade Atlas CFexpress 1TB and 2TB memory cards to the new CFexpress 4.0 specification, is available for Mac users today, with a Windows version soon to follow.
