Why it Matters: The sub-PHP 30,000 segment in the Philippines is highly competitive, with brands focusing on larger batteries, better cameras, and faster charging. The vivo V70 FE entering this range adds another option for buyers looking for high-end features without crossing flagship pricing.

The device was first introduced in Indonesia earlier this year, positioning itself as a feature-rich option in the upper midrange segment. Now, its arrival in the Philippines suggests vivo is continuing that push, especially in a price-sensitive market.

Based on information from its Indonesia debut, the vivo V70 FE highlights a large 7000mAh battery paired with fast charging, which is uncommon in this price tier. It also features a 200MP main camera with optical image stabilization, along with a 120Hz AMOLED display.

From vivo Philippines’ official website, the company positions the device as a camera-focused smartphone built for content creation. It comes with a 200MP OIS Ultra-Clear AI Imaging system and AI Visual features that can recognize weather and landscapes to optimize shots automatically.

The phone also supports 4K video recording on both the front and rear cameras, along with 30x AI Super Zoom with telephoto enhancement for closer shots. For portraits, it includes a multi-focal portrait mode designed to simulate 85mm close-up photography.

Battery is another key focus, with a 7000mAh capacity paired with 90W FlashCharge support for faster top-ups. vivo also highlights the device’s suitability for photographers, videographers, and content creators who need both endurance and imaging flexibility.

Powering the device is a MediaTek Dimensity 7360 Turbo chipset, paired with up to 12GB of RAM and up to 512GB of storage. The phone runs on Android 16 with OriginOS 6 in Indonesia, though the Philippine version may ship with Funtouch OS instead.

Other features include stereo speakers, Aura Light, and IP68 and IP69 dust and water resistance.

In Indonesia, the vivo V70 FE is priced at IDR 6,499,000 for the 8GB/256GB model, around PHP 22,300 when directly converted. The 12GB/256GB variant retails for IDR 7,199,000, or roughly PHP 25,000, while the 8GB/512GB option is listed at IDR 7,399,000, equivalent to about PHP 25,500. These figures are direct conversions and do not yet include taxes, duties, or local pricing adjustments for the Philippine market.

These Indonesia prices give an early indication of where the device may land locally, aligning with the expectation that it will be priced under PHP 30,000 in the Philippines. Final pricing, promos, and availability details are expected to be announced during its official local launch, but we have seen vivo salespeople promoting the device as early as today online.

With its combination of battery capacity, camera resolution, and display specs, the vivo V70 FE is shaping up to compete directly with other midrange devices in the same bracket.

Will vivo’s focus on battery and camera be enough to stand out in the crowded sub-PHP 30K market?
