The touchscreen functionality with stylus support adds versatility for tasks such as drawing, annotating, and navigating. There was no stylus included in the package sent to us by ASUS PH, but I used my ASUS Pen from a Vivobook I currently have and it worked flawlessly.
The audio system includes built-in 4-way stereo speakers with Smart Amp Technology and Harman/kardon tuning, providing clear and immersive sound. This high-quality audio setup is beneficial for multimedia projects, including video editing and sound design. The built-in array microphone with Cortana voice-recognition support facilitates effective voice commands and virtual assistant interactions, streamlining the workflow for busy professionals.
Powered by an Intel Core i9-12900H processor and an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060 Laptop GPU, the ASUS Zenbook Pro 16X OLED delivers strong performance for a variety of demanding tasks.
The 32GB of LPDDR5 RAM ensures smooth multitasking, allowing users to run multiple applications simultaneously without lag. The 1TB M.2 NVMe PCIe 4.0 Performance SSD provides fast storage access, crucial for handling large files typical in creative work such as high-resolution images and videos. These hardware matters, as they were able to open my Photoshop and After Effects fast, and render them just as quickly when I exported them.
Creative professionals will appreciate the ASUS Dial in enhancing their workflow. This physical controller allows for quick adjustments in creative software, making tasks like changing brush sizes, adjusting exposure, or scrolling through timelines more intuitive and efficient. The NVIDIA Max-Q technology optimizes the laptop for peak performance and efficiency, balancing power and thermal management effectively.
Connectivity options are plentiful, including one USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-A port, two Thunderbolt™ 4 ports, an HDMI 2.1 FRL port, a 3.5mm combo audio jack, a DC-in, and an SD Express 7.0 card reader. These ports provide the flexibility needed to connect various peripherals, external displays, and storage devices, making it easier to set up a comprehensive workstation.
This Zenbook is also equipped with a 96WHrs, 3S2P, 6-cell Li-ion battery, offering reasonable battery life for a high-performance laptop. For creative professionals working on resource-intensive tasks, the laptop provides sufficient battery life to support extended periods of use without frequent recharging. However, actual battery life will vary depending on the intensity of use, screen brightness, and other factors. The 200W AC adapter supports fast charging, which is convenient for quickly recharging the laptop during breaks in a busy schedule.
