Realme may be on its way to bring 5G devices in the Philippines, based on reports.

This was first discussed at the Realme 5i launch, where the brand’s roadmap includes creating an AIoT experience that can be afforded by anyone. New devices to be launched include a 5g-equipped smartphone, a wearable, and smart devices including a smart TV that’s rumored to launch at the MWC.

We challenge the industry to bring 5G readily available for more Filipinos. We are realme are ready to provide powerful and affordable 5G products, disrupting this market again by introducing more 5G devices at a price that is not even possible before so more Filipinos can enjoy and experience the 5G technology.

Austine Huang, Realme PH Marketing Director

YugaTech has learned that the company is keen to launch a 5G-smartphone, which seems to be the Realme X50 that’s launched earlier this year.

We are in close communication with local telcos in the Philippines, to get the certification of our devices meets the local 5G specifications. Even though realme is fairly a new player in 5G smartphones, we’re determined to make it more available to more Filipinos in the near future.

Eason de Guzman, Realme PH Marketing Lead, in a statement to YugaTech

No other information yet on what devices we’ll see moving forward. More as we get it.
