Shopee, the leading e-commerce platform in Taiwan and Southeast Asia records a whopping 11 million items sold within the first five minutes of its November 11 Big Christmas Sale.
In addition, the e-commerce platform also recorded a huge 5.5 times increase in site visits compared to an average day during the first two hours of the November 11 midnight sale.
Moreover, Shopee also highlighted key trends in the Philippines during the first two hours of the November 11 sale:
- Health & Personal Care, Home & Living, and Women’s Apparel were the hottest products among shoppers.
- Face masks, skin care products, and mobile accessories were also in demand with almost PHP 2,000 of orders placed.
- PHP 70 million in sales was earned by an electronics seller.
- Local sellers also saw a boost in their sales as the 11.11 Big Christmas Sale commences.
