Providing digital solutions with telecommunications at its core

917Ventures is the country’s biggest venture builder and is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Globe Telecom (Globe) that offers digital solutions to its customers. Currently, it has eight initiatives under six focus industries – digital health, e-commerce, entertainment, adtech, edutech, and fintech.

“Through the ventures that we have now and the new ones that we fund, build, and develop, we believe that we can help solve the pain points of our customers.  We are journeying our customers to digital not only to make their lives easier, but to align them with Globe’s digitalization plans,” said Vince Yamat, 917Ventures Managing Director.

As of Q3 2021, 917Ventures has launched 20 ventures and six new companies and has vetted over 300 ideas.

917Ventures Initiatives

GCash is 917Ventures’ most successful startup to date and is the country’s biggest e-wallet service provider. It currently has over 48 million users and offers various financial services such as GSave, GInvest, GInsure, and GCredit.

KonsultaMD is a telemedicine and teleconsultation service that became a hit during the pandemic as it offers easy and efficient consultation services to patients at the comfort of their homes. On the other hand, HealthNow, a telehealth aggregator, offers a one-stop-shop for digital healthcare services.

PureGo is an online grocery shopping store that offers cashless, no-contact, and same-day deliveries of daily grocery need servicing 28 cities and counting.

Rush and AdSpark supports SMEs by providing their needs for e-commerce, marketing, and advertising. Rush is an e-commerce platform that helps entrepreneurs create their businesses online. On the other hand, AdSpark offers digital and marketing needs to these businesses.

917Ventures’ goal is to duplicate the success of GCash, KonsultaMD, and AdSpark in offering quality digital solutions to its customers. And as its parent company, Globe aims to transition into a digital solutions provider while maintaining telecommunications as its core business.
