Seagate Ultra-compact SSD launched in the Philippines

Seagate has launched a new portable solid-state drive (SSD) for consumers in the Philippines. Called the Seagate Ultra Compact SSD, the device offers fast data transfer speeds of up to 1,000MB/s in a small, pocket-sized form factor. It is designed for users who need durable and reliable storage for work, play, or everyday backup.

Why it matters: As more Filipinos rely on multiple devices for work and content creation, compact and fast storage solutions like this help manage large files without taking up space or needing bulky gear.

The Seagate Ultra Compact SSD comes in 1TB and 2TB versions. It connects via USB-C, is compatible with Windows, Mac, Android, iPhones, tablets, and consoles, and doesn’t require an extra cable. It also has IP54 dust and water resistance, a removable rubber sleeve, and can survive drops from up to three meters.

Made with at least 35% recycled materials, the device also comes with a 3-year limited warranty and three years of free Seagate Rescue Data Recovery Services. It includes access to Seagate’s backup software and trials of Dropbox Backup and Mylio Photos+.
