Samsung Electronics has unveiled Samsung Eclipsa Audio, an innovative 3D sound technology developed in collaboration with Google, set to enhance its 2025 TV and soundbar lineup. The announcement marks Samsung’s continued leadership in redefining home entertainment.
Why It Matters: Samsung, a global leader in the TV market for 18 consecutive years, is making Eclipsa Audio accessible across its product range, from Crystal UHD TVs to premium Neo QLED 8K models. The technology empowers creators to design immersive 3D audio experiences by adjusting sound location, intensity, and spatial reflections.
“Eclipsa Audio opens new possibilities for immersive audio experiences,” said Taeyong Son, Samsung’s Executive Vice President. It promises to reshape how users engage with content, delivering richer and more lifelike soundscapes.
Starting in 2025, creators can upload YouTube videos with the Samsung Eclipsa Audio tracks, enabling viewers with compatible Samsung devices to experience premium spatial sound. To ensure quality, Samsung and Google are working with the Telecommunications Technology Association (TTA) to establish a certification program for devices supporting the technology.
Integrating Samsung Eclipsa Audio reflects the brand’s commitment to advancing audiovisual experiences. The rollout ensures consumers across different price points can enjoy cutting-edge audio technology.
