Samsung Electronics has maintained its position as the world’s top soundbar brand for the 12th consecutive year, based on new data covering 2025. The recognition highlights the company’s continued presence in the global home entertainment market.

Why it Matters: Soundbars have become a key part of home entertainment setups as more users look for better audio to match modern TVs. Market leadership reflects both product demand and how well brands integrate audio with other devices in the home.
The latest report from FutureSource Consulting shows Samsung accounted for 21.5% of global soundbar revenue and 19.7% of total unit shipments last year. The company’s leadership in this category dates back to 2014.
Samsung attributes its continued performance to its focus on audio technology, immersive sound, and integration with its TV lineup. The company says this approach has helped strengthen its position alongside its long-running leadership in the global TV market.
For 2026, Samsung plans to expand its audio lineup with new models aimed at different home setups. These include the flagship HW-Q990H soundbar, which succeeds the HW-Q990F, and the all-in-one HW-QS90H.
The company will also introduce new Wi-Fi speakers under its Music Studio line, designed in collaboration with the Bouroullec brothers, including the Music Studio 7 and Music Studio 5.
According to Hun Lee, Executive Vice President of the Visual Display Business at Samsung Electronics, the recognition reflects the company’s continued focus on delivering sound experiences for home users.
Samsung says it will continue developing audio products that aim to deliver cinema-like sound across different environments. Will this momentum continue as competition in the audio space grows?
