Fujifilm has officially unveiled the Fujifilm X-E5 mirrorless camera in the Philippines, offering local enthusiasts a chance to try it in-store before its release. The camera combines the X series’ retro-inspired rangefinder design with modern imaging features, including in-body stabilization and a new film simulation dial.

Why it Matters: The X-E5 brings a high-resolution sensor, advanced autofocus, and Fujifilm’s well-regarded color science to a compact, lightweight body. Its arrival in the Philippines with in-store demo events and early-bird freebies gives potential buyers the chance to experience it first-hand before committing.
The X-E5 is seen as a major upgrade over the X-E4, adding stabilization, new controls, and enhanced ergonomics while keeping the series’ compact and travel-friendly form. It features a 40.2MP back-illuminated X-Trans CMOS 5 HR sensor and the X-Processor 5, with a native ISO of 125. For the first time in the X-E series, it includes five-axis in-body image stabilization rated up to 7.0 stops.
Video recording capabilities include 6.2K at 30fps, 4K at 60fps, and Full HD at up to 240fps, all in 10-bit quality. Autofocus is powered by AI-based subject detection that can track people, animals, vehicles, and drones.
A new top-plate film simulation dial allows quick switching between Fujifilm’s color modes and up to three custom “recipes.” The viewfinder offers a Classic Display mode that shows only essential shooting details. The camera also supports digital teleconverter modes at 1.4x and 2.0x.
Other notable features include a tilting rear LCD monitor that flips 180 degrees, a Surround View function that lets photographers see beyond the frame, and an improved grip for better handling. The body weighs around 445 grams and uses a single SD card slot.
