Insta360 X5 360° Camera Now in the Philippines, Priced

Insta360 has launched its latest 360-degree camera, the X5, in the Philippines. The camera features a larger sensor, upgraded image quality, AI-powered tools, and a rugged build designed for active users.

Insta360 X5

Why it matters: The new X5 improves video quality and ease of use while offering features useful for content creators, especially those into action or outdoor filming. It also introduces a swappable lens system, something rarely seen in 360 cameras.

The X5 comes with larger 1/1.28-inch sensors and a new Triple AI Chip system that enables shooting up to 8K at 30 frames per second. It also introduces a low-light shooting mode called PureVideo and an improved Active HDR mode that now supports 5.7K at 60fps.

The camera can survive underwater up to 15 meters and now comes with a built-in wind guard for clearer audio. Other upgrades include:

  • A 3-hour battery life
  • Fast charging (80% in 20 minutes)
  • New magnetic mounting system
  • Replaceable lens system
  • Stabilization and horizon lock

New Feature: InstaFrame Mode This allows the camera to create two files at once—one ready-to-share flat video and one full 360° video. Users can later reframe the 360° footage to their liking.

Editing Tools and Cloud Features The Insta360 app has been updated to be more user-friendly and includes tools like Quick Edit, AI templates, one-tap Dewarp, and full manual editing. The camera also supports Insta360+, a cloud service for automatic backup and editing.
