Genshin Impact Ver. 4.5 update adds new character Chiori and tons of new in-game features

HoYoverse has announced the upcoming release of Genshin Impact Version 4.5, titled “Blades Weaving Betwixt Brocade,” scheduled for March 13. Following the New Year festivities in Liyue, players will journey to Mondstadt to assist Jean, Lisa, and the Knights of Favonius in developing the local alchemical potion business.

Additionally, players will have the opportunity to recruit the talented designer, Chiori. Version 4.5 introduces several optimizations, including a new info hub called “Training Guide,” offering suggestions for character development within Travelers’ parties.

In the latest seasonal event, “Alchemical Ascension,” players will support Lisa in managing an alchemical potion shop to boost local business. This involves every aspect of production, from cultivating ingredients to selling potions to customers.

As revenue grows, players can expand their business by acquiring more facilities and enhancing potion bottles. By interacting with familiar characters, players can earn various rewards, including the exclusive 4-star polearm “Dialogues of the Desert Sages.” Additionally, players can participate in side activities such as “Feline Fortress Furrdyssey” and “Rolling Crossfire.”

Chiori, the renowned Inazuma fashion designer, will debut as a 5-star Geo sword wielder in Version 4.5. Players will learn more about her in the upcoming update, where she can summon her automaton doll and design assistant, “Tamoto,” to deal damage based on her Defense and Attack. During combat, her Elemental Burst unleashes AoE Geo damage with her twin blades. Moreover, during exploration, Chiori increases party members’ Movement Speed if they are wearing non-default outfits or wind gliders.

Version 4.5’s Event Wishes will feature Chiori and Arataki Itto in the first half, followed by Neuvillette and Kaedehara Kazuha in the second half. Additionally, a new “Chronicled Wish” will debut, offering 5-star characters and over 10 5-star weapons. System optimizations include the “Training Guide,” providing tips and suggestions for enhancing characters based on their level, weapons, artifacts, and talents.

Genshin Impact Version 4.5 will be available on March 13, with cross-progression and Co-Op functions across multiple platforms. The game has received age ratings from ESRB and is accessible on PlayStation, PC, Android, and iOS devices.
