Why it matters:
As the Esports industry continues to grow in the Philippines, partnerships like this give students direct access to the tools, experiences, and connections needed to explore careers in gaming, game development, and esports management.

The collaboration focuses on three main areas:

  • Internships with Level Infinite Philippines:
LPU students will be able to intern with Level Infinite’s local team and gain hands-on experience in game publishing, marketing, esports management, and community work.
  • Curriculum development support:
Level Infinite and LPU will work together on improving esports and game development programs by sharing industry knowledge and insights to help align courses with current trends.
  • On-campus tournaments:
Regular Honor of Kings and PUBG MOBILE tournaments will be held at LPU during key school events. These tournaments will allow students to practice skills in competitive gaming, event organization, and esports broadcasting.

The partnership builds on LPU’s earlier esports involvement, including grassroots Honor of Kings tournaments and student participation in local competitions. LPU will also be part of the upcoming Kings Campus Series tournament, where students can compete for scholarships and stipends from a PHP500,000 prize pool.

Benj Dalmacio, Senior Business Development Manager at Level Infinite PH, said the company aims to help shape the next generation of professionals in gaming and esports through this partnership.

Dr. Arlene Caballero, Dean of the LPU College of Technology, said the university remains committed to offering students industry-relevant experiences to help prepare them for careers in the evolving digital landscape. Is this type of school-industry partnership the future of Esports education in the Philippines?
