Smilegate has announced the launch of “Medea,” a new global server for its MMORPG LORDNINE: Infinite Class, developed by NX3GAMES. The server will go live on December 18 at 19:00 (UTC+8), bringing together players from Japan and Southeast Asia in a shared game environment.

The new server is positioned as an entry-friendly option for both new and returning players, with changes aimed at faster and smoother early progression. Pre-registration for the Medea server began on December 3 and, according to Smilegate, saw strong participation ahead of the launch.
Why it Matters: The introduction of a shared global server for Japan and Southeast Asia reflects the growing focus on cross-region play in MMORPGs. For players in the Philippines and nearby markets, this means a larger active community, easier access to the in-game economy, and systems designed to reduce early-game grind.
The Medea server features streamlined growth systems and expanded early progression support. These adjustments are meant to help players reach core content more quickly compared to existing servers. Smilegate says this approach lowers the barrier for new players while also offering a faster restart option for veterans.
Alongside the new server, Smilegate is rolling out updates to several core systems. Combat, item drops, and trading mechanics have been adjusted, with rare equipment drop rates increased in both field and dungeon areas. This change is expected to speed up character progression and reduce reliance on long farming sessions.
Updates are also being applied to NEXT Market, LORDNINE’s open-economy trading system. Sales level requirements have been eased, making it easier for players to buy and sell items earlier in the game. This change is intended to improve item circulation and give players earlier access to equipment and materials.
The Medea server will include a server-exclusive Mastery Booster, allowing progression speeds of up to 50 percent faster than before. Smilegate says this feature is designed to make character development more accessible, especially for players starting fresh on the global server.
Players who complete pre-registration will receive exclusive in-game rewards, including the new server-only skin Radiant Fate El Nerta. Additional rewards include progression materials such as Temporal Pieces, Upgrade Scrolls, and Enhancement Stones. At launch, several in-game events will also be available, including Missions and Rewards events that can grant up to 330 Avatar Summon Tickets and rewards valued at up to 110 USDt.
Pre-registration is still open at their website. More details about the Medea server, events, and updates can be found on the official LORDNINE website and its official YouTube channel.
With faster progression, improved drop rates, and a shared regional player base, will the Medea server be enough to bring new momentum to LORDNINE in Southeast Asia?
