Chimeraland is the newest open-world MMO (massively multiplayer online) game developed by Level Infinite. The game managed to get 300,000 registrants in just 10 days since its pre-registration last December 16, 2021.
Chimeraland is known for its innovative gameplay, giving each player the freedom to explore the 4,000-square kilometer territory spanning four continents, seas, and oceans. It encourages players to develop their creativity and imagination while playing, such as creating mythological animals or building houses.
Chimeraland Gameplay and Features
Character Creation
Before starting the game, the player needs to create a character from various races (humans to animals) and ages. After selecting the race and age, the player can proceed to customize the facial features. The last step is the character preview, with a “Back” or “Reset” option available if the player change mind.
Riding Pets
Almost all the animals can be captured as riding pets that the player can use as transportation and assist them in battles. There are three types of pets available: Rides, Followers, and Companions.
Exotic animals are also in the game. Feeding it will become the player’s companion and can aid them in combat and help collect. These exotic animals can randomly visit the player’s home, sleep in bed, or sit on the sofa.
All animals in the game, from common animals to thousand-year-old beasts, can be seen and caught everywhere. Players can use traps to catch them and make them their mounts. Pet eggs can be caught and can be hatched through incubation nests at home.
In addition, there are temporary pets that can only be caught for five minutes. These temporary pets can swallow opposing animals and add limbs to permanent pets. For example, it will make the normal horse have thick elephant legs, cute moose head, dominant eagle wings, poisonous scorpion tail, etc. – making it into a unique riding pet.
Map Exploration
The in-game map can be opened by clicking the upper left corner of the game interface. Dragging the zoom option in the lower right corner adjusts the map scale, and the positioning options can set the navigation destination.
In addition, areas that have not been included in the map will show no details. While the unexplored areas will display a question mark. Once the area with the question mark is explored, the appropriate icon will appear.
Moreover, players/travelers can fly to space across the sky where there are other small planets and star beasts. An option to build a home on a space planet and settle in space is also available. In some instances, the player can be exiled to space prison if they kill randomly.
Rewards
Rewards such as Cowries, Legendary Pill, and Pet Egg can be claimed via the pre-register on the website. To obtain HP Essence, Intelligence Pill, Lv. 2 Mount Skill Book, and other luxury rewards valued up to 40 US dollars, a specified number of pre-registered players following the stage is required. Moreover, the official community also held a series of reservation activities, wherein participating in these can get players several in-game virtual treasures.
Chimeraland will be released in early 2022 on various platforms from PC, Android, and iOS.
