Grab Philippines has announced that it will implement new measures with GrabFood and GrabExpress services beginning today, March 14. This is in light of the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.

GrabFood and GrabExpress drivers will now implement a no-contact policy for pickups and deliveries whether it be food or parcels. Drivers will be encouraged to drop it off at the recipient’s door entrance or building lobby if permitted. Social distancing will also be implemented – once, at the delivery destination, drivers will be at least 2 meters away from the recipient.

The company will also strengthen its hygienic practices by placing alcohol areas across all Grab driver stations. Drivers are also instructed to regularly clean and disinfect their delivery bags, while partner-restaurants already have their stringent measures intact.

The ride-hailing company also prepared GrabCare Packages. These are financial and medical assistance to delivery-partners should they be placed on DOH-mandated quarantine, or be tested positive for the virus.

Users who will avail of GrabFood and GrabExpress services, on the other hand, are advised to switch to contactless payment (GrabPay) to avoid contact, especially when giving money. Grab Philippines also highly advises everyone to stay vigilant and keep safe.
