Canva has announced Visual Suite 2.0 at its fourth Canva Create event held at SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles. This marks the company’s largest product update since it was founded in 2012, introducing new tools aimed at improving how teams design, communicate, and collaborate with the help of artificial intelligence.

Why it Matters: Canva has become one of the most widely used platforms for design across both individuals and enterprises. With the growing demand for faster and more personalized content creation, Visual Suite 2.0 positions Canva to support this shift by integrating design, data, and AI tools into one platform. The new features are geared towards reducing the need for multiple apps and making it easier for non-designers to work with complex data and content.
Canva now has over 230 million monthly active users, with 145 million joining since the launch of the first Visual Suite in 2022. According to the company, more than 35 billion designs have been created since 2013, with over 376 designs made every second. Canva is currently used in more than 190 countries and by over 95% of Fortune 500 companies.

AI Use and Creator Compensation
Canva says its AI tools are developed under its “Canva Shield” policy, which includes moderation, bias checks, and transparency. Through its $200 million Creator Fund, Canva pays royalties to creators whose assets are used in AI-generated content. This includes ongoing payments and monthly royalties for opted-in contributors.
The new Canva updates will roll out in the next few weeks, with one million users getting the headstart if they are able to check on the easter eggs on their canva home dashboards.
