TP-Link has introduced the Archer BE220 in the Philippines, one of the brand’s most affordable Wi-Fi 7 routers to date. The new device is designed to deliver faster speeds and wider signal coverage for homes with multiple connected devices.

Why it matters: The rainy season in the Philippines often leads to higher internet usage indoors. Affordable and reliable Wi-Fi 7 routers like the Archer BE220 help improve connectivity for work, entertainment, and smart home use without requiring major hardware upgrades.
The Archer BE220 supports speeds of up to 3.6Gbps and uses four antennas with beamforming technology to provide stronger, more stable connections. It is built for daily use cases like 4K/8K video streaming, AR/VR gaming, large file downloads, and smart home control.
It also comes with Multi-Link Operation (MLO), which allows simultaneous use of both 5GHz and 2.4GHz bands to reduce lag and data congestion across devices. This feature benefits homes with multiple users engaged in tasks such as video calls, gaming, and content streaming at the same time.

For security and network management, the router supports TP-Link’s HomeShield tools. Users can set parental controls, manage device priority, and monitor internet usage through the TP-Link Tether mobile app.

The router includes one 1Gbps WAN port and four 1Gbps LAN ports. TP-Link claims up to 49% faster data transfer and 3.3x lower latency compared to older standards. Its upgraded cooling system is designed to keep the device running without overheating, even during heavy use.
The Archer BE220 supports EasyMesh, which allows users to connect it with other mesh-enabled routers to remove Wi-Fi dead spots at home. It is also backward compatible with older Wi-Fi generations and works with all ISPs.
