HONOR teases ‘real AI Phone’ launch in the Philippines

HONOR Philippines is hinting at the arrival of what it calls the “real AI Phone,” stirring speculation online after releasing a cryptic teaser and follow-up video on its official pages. The company did not name the exact model, but the posts suggest that AI-powered features—possibly in photography or image enhancement—will be a central highlight.

Why it matters: HONOR has been steadily rolling out new products in the Philippines this year, including durable smartphones, student-friendly tablets, and midrange to flagship phones with strong camera performance. The mention of an “AI Phone” positions the brand in direct competition with others already pushing AI capabilities in their devices.

In a statement, HONOR Philippines Vice President Stephen Cheng said, “The time has come. Filipinos deserve to get introduced to the real AI Phone. We are most excited with this launch, and we couldn’t wait to share more to our loyal HONOR fans so stay tuned in the coming days.”

The company followed this with a short-form video showcasing still photos transforming into motion shots using AI. The post has led fans to believe that the phone could bring motion-enhancing tools or next-level photography features backed by artificial intelligence.

As of writing, HONOR has not confirmed a launch date or model name. Speculation points toward a possible global or regional debut of an unannounced device, likely falling under the Magic or Number series based on the company’s current lineup.

Are you ready for HONOR’s so-called ‘real AI Phone,’ or do you think this is just another buzzword launch?
