Infinix HOT 60 Pro+ Review: So Thin, It Almost Disappears

Smartphones today often chase performance and camera specs at the expense of size and design, leading to devices that are powerful but bulky. Infinix is taking a different approach with the Infinix HOT 60 Pro+, introducing what it calls the world’s slimmest 3D-curved AI phone under 6mm.

With a thickness of just 5.95mm and a weight of 155 grams, the Infinix HOT 60 Pro+ introduces a fresh direction in smartphone engineering. It’s light, slim, curved, and still manages to pack in a 144Hz AMOLED screen, a 5160mAh battery, and AI features designed for day-to-day convenience. Here’s our full review.

Design and Construction

The Infinix HOT 60 Pro+ lives up to its “Paper Thin, Power In” branding. At just 5.95mm thick, it easily slides into tight pockets and blends into notebooks, folders, or desk surfaces, delivering on the “dual concept” that it’s as thin as paper, hidden anywhere. Even with its curved AMOLED screen and glass front, it weighs only 155g, making it one of the lightest devices in its category.

Visual contrast plays a big role here. When placed beside everyday items like a ballpen or even a debit card, the phone’s silhouette nearly disappears. The curved frame feels smooth, and the design prioritizes symmetry across its edges. Buttons are clicky, ports are well-placed, and the finish resists smudges well.

Despite the slim body, there’s IP64 splash resistance, enough to protect from light rain and accidental splashes. It’s not waterproof, but for a phone this thin, along with its eye-popping colors such as Coral Tides, Titanium Silver, Sleek Black, Misty Violet, it’s a practical bonus.

Display and Audio

A 6.78-inch 1.5K AMOLED panel dominates the front. The screen’s 3D curve enhances immersion whether you’re watching videos or scrolling through social media. Colors appear vibrant, viewing angles are wide, and contrast is excellent for a device at this price point.

What sets it apart is the 144Hz refresh rate, something often reserved for higher-end devices. Animations are smooth, transitions are snappy, and gaming gets an extra layer of fluidity.

The display is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 7i, offering added durability against scratches. Brightness is decent in outdoor use, though it may not compete with flagship AMOLEDs under direct sunlight.

Audio is what you’d expect from a midrange device. The bottom-firing speaker is loud enough for casual listening, though it lacks deep bass. There’s no stereo speaker setup here, which is a slight trade-off, but the audio quality is acceptable for the price.

Camera

The rear camera features a 50MP Sony IMX882 sensor that handles daylight shots with good dynamic range and detail.

Colors are neutral—not overly saturated—and focus speed is reliable. Low-light shots are average, with noise becoming noticeable in darker areas, though night mode does help a bit.

Portrait mode performs fairly well, with decent edge separation and background blur. The 8MP front camera is serviceable for selfies and video calls, though details soften in low light. It’s best used in well-lit environments.

Video recording maxes out at 2K, 30 frames per second, and stabilization is limited to basic EIS and maxes out at 1080p, 30 fps. You won’t find flagship camera performance here, but for a sub-PHP 9,000 device, the results are perfectly usable for daily logs, quick captures, and social media shares.

Performance (Software, Hardware, and Connectivity)

Powered by the MediaTek Helio G200, the Infinix HOT 60 Pro+ handles most daily tasks without issue. Multitasking between messaging apps, social media, and browser tabs is smooth. It’s not a gaming powerhouse, but it can run titles like Mobile Legends and Call of Duty: Mobile on medium settings with stable frame rates.

Thermal performance is managed well, even during prolonged use, thanks in part to the device’s slim internals and efficient processor. You’d find yourself holding a hot phone, though, since using the phone too much stresses its internals and you can really feel the heat due to the thinness of the device.

The phone ships with Android 14 layered with XOS 15, which brings a clean interface, theming options, and useful shortcuts. Ads and pre-installed apps are present but can be managed or disabled. New to this generation is One-Tap Infinix AI, which enables you to ask contextual questions or perform quick actions using voice or visual input.

AI features extend further with Google Gemini and Circle to Search, giving you tools to find and interact with content faster. These features help the phone feel smarter and more intuitive out of the box.

NFC is present, which adds value for users who use tap-to-pay or transport cards. There’s also dual SIM support and all essential sensors onboard.

Battery and Charging

Here’s where things get interesting. Despite being just 5.95mm thin, Infinix managed to pack in a 5160mAh battery, a feat rarely seen at this thickness level. In real-world use, this translates to about a full day and a half of moderate use: messaging, web browsing, and a few hours of video playback.

For heavy users, it comfortably survives a full day. And when it does run low, 45W fast charging brings it back to usable levels in around an hour. The battery-to-thickness ratio is one of the strongest arguments for this device, proving that slim doesn’t mean sacrificing longevity.
