OPPO and Google are expanding their partnership through deeper AI integration. The new OPPO Find X8 now supports Android 16 Beta 3, showing their ongoing collaboration. Soon, OPPO will also bring Gemini to its upcoming Reno14 Series, helping users interact with apps like OPPO Notes, Calendar, and Clock using natural language.
Why it matters: This move reflects OPPO’s aim to make AI tools more useful in daily life, especially through direct collaboration with Google.
According to Kai Tang, President of OPPO’s Software Engineering, “Our mission at OPPO is to use AI to meaningfully empower our users, which we achieve through strategic partnerships like our collaboration with Google. With the Reno14 Series, we are collaborating closely with Google to systematically integrate Google Gemini into OPPO core apps. This integration will enable users to effortlessly perform complex actions across multiple apps using simple natural language queries, significantly enhancing AI convenience.”
Gemini Integration in the Reno14 Series
OPPO says the Reno14 Series will allow users to activate Gemini by pressing and holding the side button. From there, Gemini can help users do tasks across several apps. For example, users can summarize a document and ask Gemini to save the summary into OPPO Notes. Gemini will also be able to pull steps from a YouTube recipe and save them as notes.
Scheduling will also be easier. After booking travel, users can tell Gemini to “add this to my OPPO Calendar,” and an event will be created automatically.
This AI support builds on what OPPO began with ColorOS 15, as the company and Google work together to improve Gemini’s role in everyday tasks.
OPPO’s Broader AI Goals

At MWC 2025, OPPO shared its plan to grow AI support across its products and reach around 100 million users with generative AI by the end of 2025.
This stronger tie-up with Google on the Reno14 Series is a major part of that strategy, as OPPO pushes to improve how AI works in daily life through voice and chat-based assistance.
The OPPO Reno14 series was launched in China earlier this month, and we are expecting it to land in the Philippines in the coming weeks.
