OPPO is expanding its partnership with Google Cloud to introduce new AI-powered productivity tools on its upcoming Find N6 foldable smartphone. The device will launch together with a new accessory called the OPPO AI Pen, designed to help users turn handwritten notes and sketches into digital content.

Why It Matters: Foldable smartphones are often promoted as productivity devices because of their larger screens and multitasking features. Tools that convert handwritten notes or sketches into editable digital formats could make foldables more practical for meetings, planning, and creative work.
The company said the stylus will support AI features built using Google Cloud technologies. These tools aim to help users organize notes, create visual content, and share files across devices.
Kai Tang, President of Software Engineering at OPPO, said the collaboration with Google Cloud allows the company to introduce new AI experiences to its devices. According to Tang, the AI Pen transforms the traditional stylus into a productivity tool designed for foldable smartphones.
The Find N6 will introduce two AI-powered functions for the stylus: AI Chart and AI Image.
AI Chart allows users to press a side button on the stylus and circle handwritten notes on the screen. The feature can convert the content into a structured digital table that can be edited. OPPO said the function is powered by Gemini Pro on Google Cloud.
AI Image focuses on turning simple sketches into refined artwork. Using a system called Nano Banana, the feature can transform doodles into stylized images. Users can also type prompts to guide the output, such as creating images with oil painting or digital art styles.
OPPO is also working with Google to improve file sharing across devices. The company said the Find N6 will support Android Quick Share compatibility with Apple devices. This will allow users to send photos, videos, and files directly to Apple products without installing additional applications.
These features will be integrated into ColorOS 16 on the Find N6. OPPO said the combination of its hardware and Google’s AI technologies is intended to improve productivity on foldable smartphones.
The company has not yet announced the launch date of the Find N6 or the availability of the OPPO AI Pen. Will AI-powered stylus features make foldable phones more useful for everyday work?
