Opening the box realme Philippines sent us reveals its core components: the phone itself, booklets for guides and warranty coverages, the 18-watt power charger, and the USB Type-C cable. Sorry folks, no TPU case nor headphones included in the package.
The phone itself is very reminiscent to previous narzo releases such as the realme narzo 20 with a waterdrop notch for the selfie camera at the front, plus a 6.5-inch display with an HD+ resolution.
Power on the device and you’ll see that we get that all-familiar realme UI 1.0 based on Android 10. realme representatives have also cleared that the phone will receive its much-needed upgraded to Android 11 (realme Ui 2.0) by Q3 this year.
We check how the usual device buttons and ports are placed on the sides. At the right, we have the volume button and the power/lock key. They’re caved in a chiseled part for better feel.
The left side, on the other hand, sports the SIM tray slot. It’s worth noting that realme still adheres to its dedicated triple-card slot — two for SIMs and one for MicroSD.
At the bottom are realme’s signature layout of 3.5mm audio jack, microphone, USB Type-C port, and the bottom-firing loudspeaker grille.
Turn the device to its back and you’ll see an aesthetic that’s subtle yet still fashionable. The laser-style design composes more than half of the backplate, with the area where the fingerprint scanner and the dual rear camera are placed.
As it’s a device sporting a huge 6000mAh battery capacity, one can attest to the surprising non-difference in weight compared to other realme phones, when being carried around. It’s not much of an issue when coming from another realme phone such as a realme 6, 7, or even 7i.
No price has been announced yet for the new realme narzo 30A, but we’ve learned that it will be an affordable gaming phone for the masses at under PHP 10,000, and it will only be available exclusively on Lazada (we’ll get more info as the phone is launched). We’ll test its capabilities as we take on this device for a spin and a review in the coming days.
