Several notable features from the upper mid-range and the flagship lines are now made possible in Samsung’s A-series. The device now sports a unique hazy finish that looks matte when seen from certain angles. It’s also water-resistant now, as it has an IP67 rating that can resist freshwater at 30m deep for up to 1 hour.
The new A series phones also sport a whopping 256GB of internal storage, the first A-series devices to have that huge of a storage for a market of mid-range phones normally sporting 128GB ones. The takeaway, though, is you’re bound to choose for even more storage or an additional network with its hybrid dual-SIM slot.
The display is also a surprise treat — A52 and A72 both now have 90Hz displays, while the A52 5G sports a display with a whopping 120Hz refresh rate, making movements more buttery smooth. It’s also a lot brighter as you can see the display at high noon with its 800nits luminance. It’s also Eye Care-certified by world-leading SGS, and adjust the display temperature based on activity patterns to prevent your eyes from experiencing fatigue.
All of the A-series’ cameras are also upgraded with quad-rear modules and a high-resolution front camera for selfies. The A72 also features better digital and optical zoom, 3x and 30x, respectively, for better photo taking.
Lastly, they all feature upgraded batteries that Samsung touts to last for up to two days with its AI battery management. They’re also capable of filling up at a shorter time thanks to 22.5W fast charging.

Samsung’s newest A series are priced as follows: PHP 18,990 for the Galaxy A52, and PHP 23,990 for both the Galaxy A52 5G and the Galaxy A72. The new Galaxy A Series will be available in Awesome Violet, Awesome Blue, Awesome Black, and Awesome White in all Samsung Experience stores, authorized dealers, and online channels nationwide.
