Acer unveils Aspire 14 AI and Aspire 16 AI Copilot+ laptops with Intel Core Ultra Series 3

Acer has announced new models in its mainstream laptop lineup with the introduction of the Aspire 14 AI and Aspire 16 AI, both powered by Intel Core Ultra Series 3 processors and designed as Copilot+ PCs for Windows 11. The company says the new models are meant to offer a balance of performance, design, and price for students, young professionals, and everyday users.

Why It Matters: As more PC makers push Copilot+ and on-device AI features into mid-range laptops, devices like the Aspire 14 AI and 16 AI show how these features are moving beyond premium models and into more affordable, mainstream machines.

Both laptops come in thin-and-light designs and can be configured with either 14-inch or 16-inch displays. Acer is offering WUXGA screens with a 16:10 aspect ratio, up to 120Hz refresh rate, and optional OLED and touch variants. The hinges can open up to 180 degrees, allowing the screen to lie flat for easier sharing and collaboration.

Inside, the Aspire 14 AI and 16 AI can be configured with up to an Intel Core Ultra 9 386H processor, paired with Intel Graphics. Acer says this setup is aimed at improving both everyday performance and creative tasks. The laptops can be equipped with up to 32GB of LPDDR5X memory and up to 2TB of PCIe Gen 4 SSD storage, depending on the model.

Acer is also highlighting its built-in AI features. Both laptops include Acer Intelligent Space, which acts as a central hub for AI tools, along with AcerSense for system management and optimization. For video calls and online meetings, Acer PurifiedView and Acer PurifiedVoice are included to improve image quality and reduce background noise. There is also Acer My Key, which lets users set custom shortcuts and quickly access Copilot+ features such as Live Captions with real-time translation.

For communication and content creation, the laptops come with 1080p FHD IR cameras with privacy shutters and a triple-microphone setup. Connectivity options include Thunderbolt 4, USB Type-A ports, HDMI 2.1, and an audio jack, along with Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth 5.3 support.

In terms of size and weight, the Aspire 14 AI weighs around 1.25 kg, while the larger Aspire 16 AI comes in at about 1.52 kg. Both models use a 65Wh battery.

Acer says exact specifications, pricing, and availability will vary by region, and interested buyers should check with local Acer offices for details.

With these new Aspire AI models, Acer is clearly targeting users who want AI features and Copilot+ experiences without moving to more expensive premium laptops. Do you think AI features are already important enough to influence your next laptop purchase?
