The Bank of the Philippine Islands (BPI), through its stock brokerage arm BPI Securities, is set to launch the new BPI Trade platform on May 28, 2025. This revamped web-based stock trading platform aims to make investing easier and more accessible to Filipinos.

Why it matters:
More Filipinos, especially younger investors, are starting to explore stock trading and long-term financial planning. BPI’s updated platform responds to the demand for tools that are easier to use, require no minimum investment, and are accessible online.
The new BPI Trade includes the following features:
- Fully digital account opening for select users, with broader access planned soon
- No minimum initial investment required
- Real-time market data and trading tools
- Access to exclusive insights and analysis from BPI Securities experts
- Accessible via web browser, with a mobile app version in development
The platform is currently open to existing BPI clients and select users for account opening. BPI aims to expand access in the coming months and integrate the service into the BPI Trade mobile app.
BPI Securities President Mark Race said the goal is to make stock investing “more intuitive and accessible” for both first-time and experienced investors. You can check the new BPI Trade website for more information.
Will this move encourage more Filipinos to get started with investing in the stock market?
