Brother Philippines is celebrating its 25th year in the country, marking a milestone that reflects its growth and continued support for Filipino businesses and consumers. Since entering the Philippine market in 2000, the company has expanded from a small operation into a multibillion-peso business with a nationwide presence.

Why it Matters: Brother Philippines’ growth reflects how technology providers can play a role in helping small businesses scale. Its focus on tools for printing, customization, and production supports income-generating activities, especially for SMEs across different regions.
The company now operates across several regions including Cebu, Davao, Naga, Pampanga, Iloilo, Cagayan de Oro, Tuguegarao, and Zamboanga, along with concept stores in major malls. Over the years, it has introduced a range of products such as printers, labelers, sewing machines, embroidery machines, and cooling solutions.
One of its key contributions to local entrepreneurship is the PR Machine Embroidery Caravan, launched in 2012. The program offers seminars and hands-on training for individuals looking to start embroidery businesses. This initiative has helped entrepreneurs transition into customized apparel and textile production.
The company shared examples of SME owners who expanded their businesses using its machines. These include garment and textile entrepreneurs who now offer customized uniforms, apparel, and other products through embroidery and printing services.
Brother Philippines has also received recognition for its contributions, including the Social Empowerment Award from Enterprise Asia in 2014.
Beyond business support, the company has implemented sustainability and community programs. Its Green Project, launched in 2007, focuses on recycling printer cartridges and promoting responsible consumption. The initiative aligns with global sustainability goals such as responsible production and climate action.

The company also conducts environmental activities like coastal cleanups and mangrove planting. In 2025, it planted 1,200 mangrove propagules in Batangas.
In education, Brother Philippines has supported Iñigan Elementary School in Rizal for over a decade through donations, infrastructure upgrades, and technology support. During the pandemic, it provided printers and learning kits to assist with distance learning.
Looking ahead, Brother Philippines plans to expand its product lineup with more connected and customizable solutions. These include printers and embroidery machines integrated with its Artspira app, as well as newer offerings like sublimation printers and eco-friendly cooling systems.
The company also continues to develop subscription-based services such as toner management and printing solutions to support business operations.
As it moves beyond its 25th year, Brother Philippines says it will continue focusing on innovation and practical solutions for both businesses and consumers.
With its long-standing presence and expanding product range, how will Brother Philippines continue to support the next generation of Filipino entrepreneurs?
