GCash is reminding its users that GCredit, powered by CIMB, can serve as a financial lifeline for urgent expenses, especially during times when budgets run tight.

Why it Matters: With rising costs of bills, groceries, and other necessities, many Filipinos struggle to keep up with expenses. GCredit offers an accessible credit line through the GCash app, without the need for a traditional credit card or borrowing from relatives.
GCredit allows users to borrow up to PHP 50,000 with a daily interest rate of 0.17 percent, or PHP 1.70 per PHP 1,000 spent. Payments are flexible, with a minimum payment of 10 percent of the total due required each month.

The credit line can be used to pay electricity, water, internet, landline, and grocery expenses directly through the GCash app.
To qualify, users must be Filipino citizens aged 21 to 65 with a fully verified GCash account. Eligibility can be checked under the “Borrow” section of the app, where users will be guided on activation steps if approved.
Once activated, GCredit can be used immediately for bills and everyday purchases, with users encouraged to read the terms and conditions and plan repayments to avoid additional charges.
Will you be using GCredit as part of your budget strategy during Petsa de Peligro?
