Globe has introduced a new postpaid upgrade program alongside the launch of the Samsung Galaxy S26 Series in the Philippines. Called Galaxy Forever, the initiative allows select subscribers to upgrade to the next Galaxy flagship after 12 months, instead of waiting for the usual two-year contract cycle.

Why it Matters: Many smartphone plans in the Philippines still follow two-year contracts. For users who want newer models every year, this often means waiting or paying additional costs. Globe’s Galaxy Forever program shortens that upgrade cycle to one year, which could change how some consumers approach postpaid plans and flagship smartphone ownership.
The program is designed for users who prefer upgrading their smartphones more often. Globe said the move responds to growing demand from tech-focused customers who want access to the latest devices without long lock-in periods.
Galaxy Forever is available to Globe Platinum customers under the new Platinum GPlan 4999. Subscribers can trade in their Samsung Galaxy S26 after the first 12 months and move to the next-generation Galaxy flagship model.
The Platinum GPlan 4999 also includes unlimited mobile data, calls, and texts including calls to landlines nationwide. Members receive additional perks such as a DragonPass voucher for international airport lounges, unlimited access to local airport lounges, and the Singlife 100-in-1 Medical Plan with PHP 500,000 in coverage.
The plan also provides access to Globe’s digital concierge service called Thea, available 24/7, along with the option for a dedicated Platinum Relationship Manager.
Globe said Platinum members will receive priority access to new flagship devices through the program.
Galaxy Forever is also being expanded to more postpaid customers. The program is available to subscribers starting at All-New GPlan PLUS 1299 and GPlan with Device 1499.
During the pre-order period, GPlan PLUS 1299 users can add Galaxy Forever for free for the first six months. Starting on the seventh month, the add-on will cost PHP 599 per month. Subscribers who keep the add-on active can trade in their current Galaxy flagship for the next model after the first year.
Globe said the initiative also supports device circularity by encouraging customers to return their previous smartphones through the trade-in cycle instead of leaving them unused.
Through the program, returning the previous S Series device after one year can waive any remaining device cashout, allowing subscribers to transition to the next flagship model with a revised monthly amortization.
Would an annual upgrade option like Galaxy Forever change how Filipinos approach flagship smartphone plans?
