Globe Telecom has been recognized by Ookla as the Most Consistent Mobile Network, Most Consistent Fixed Network, and the provider with the Widest 5G Coverage in the Philippines for the second half of 2025.

Why it Matters: As digital services expand across work, education, and commerce, network reliability and real-world performance are becoming as important as peak speeds for consumers and businesses.
The recognition is based on Ookla’s analysis of millions of user-initiated Speedtest results, highlighting Globe’s performance in delivering consistent connectivity across different locations.
Validated performance metrics: According to the report:
- Globe recorded a Mobile Consistency Score of 87.51 percent for Q3 to Q4 2025.
- For fixed broadband, Globe achieved a Fixed Consistency Score of 88.84 percent in Q4 2025.
- Globe also secured the highest 5G Coverage Score at 490, reflecting its network footprint across both dense and wide areas.
During a fireside chat at the PH Telco Summit with Department of Information and Communications Technology Secretary Henry Rhoel Aguda, Globe President and CEO Carl R. Cruz said that reported coverage does not always translate to dependable connectivity, especially in remote or disaster-prone areas.
Cruz said Globe continues to invest in network capacity, redundancy, and resilience to keep its services stable under varying conditions. Aguda emphasized the importance of strong and resilient infrastructure, affordability, and accessibility as foundations of a digital nation.
Network speed growth: Globe said its average mobile speeds now stand at 34.8 Mbps, representing an 8 percent year-on-year increase. Average broadband speeds have reached 120.4 Mbps, up 36 percent year-on-year.
The company noted that 1080p video streaming typically requires 4 to 5 Mbps on mobile and around 5 Mbps on broadband, while video calls on platforms such as Zoom generally require about 3 Mbps. Globe said its network capacity provides additional headroom to support multiple devices and simultaneous activities in homes and businesses.
By focusing on quality of experience, Globe aims to support use cases such as digital payments for MSMEs and real-time content creation.
With telcos competing beyond headline speeds, will consistency and reliability become the main benchmarks for Filipino consumers choosing their network provider?
