HUAWEI Expands GCash Watch Pay Support to iOS Devices

HUAWEI Philippines has announced that GCash Watch Pay is now available for iOS devices, expanding beyond Android and HUAWEI phones. This feature allows users to make QR code payments directly from their wrist using the latest HUAWEI smartwatches and fitness bands.

HUAWEI Gcash Watch Pay

Why it Matters: GCash is one of the most widely used finance apps in the Philippines, and its integration with HUAWEI wearables across iOS, Android, and HUAWEI platforms means more Filipinos can now enjoy secure, wallet-free transactions wherever they go.

The service is supported on several models, including the HUAWEI WATCH GT 4 and 5 Series, WATCH FIT 3 and 4 Series, WATCH D2, WATCH Ultimate, WATCH 4 and 5 Series, the HUAWEI Band 10, and future devices.

To activate GCash Watch Pay, users need to link their GCash account through the HUAWEI Health app and set up the app on their smartwatch. Once linked, a dynamic QR code is generated on the watch or band, enabling payments for everyday purchases such as coffee, commuting, or groceries without needing to take out a phone or wallet.

The setup process is slightly different depending on whether the user is on a HUAWEI smartphone, iOS, or Android device. For iPhone and Android users, the first step is downloading the HUAWEI Health app, creating a HUAWEI ID set to the Philippines, and pairing the watch. From there, the GCash app can be installed and linked with verification.

HUAWEI said the goal is to make cashless living more inclusive, bringing convenience to workouts, errands, and commutes through wrist-based QR payments.

GCash Watch Pay on HUAWEI wearables is now accessible nationwide. The devices can be purchased through HUAWEI’s online store, Shopee, Lazada, TikTok, and Experience Stores.

With more Filipinos now able to pay directly from their wrist regardless of phone brand, will this make cashless payments part of your daily routine?
