Infinix shows satellite calling, new cooling tech, and modular AI system at CES 2026

Infinix used CES 2026 ShowStoppers to preview several new technologies that it plans to bring to future smartphones, including satellite communication, a new active cooling system, a customizable back design, and a modular AI accessory platform.

The company says these developments point to how it sees the next phase of mobile devices, with a focus on wider connectivity, more stable performance, and more personal ways to use and customize phones.

Why It Matters: As smartphones become more powerful, problems like limited signal coverage, heat, and short battery life are becoming more noticeable. Infinix’s announcements show how brands are trying to solve these issues not just with faster chips, but with new hardware designs and new ways to extend what a phone can do.

2.Infinix NOTE 60 Ultra Arriving with Satellite Calling and Messaging

One of the main announcements is Infinix’s satellite communication system for smartphones. The company says this will allow phones to switch between regular mobile networks and satellite connections without extra setup. The system supports voice calls and messages and is designed to work even in places with no mobile signal. Infinix says the upcoming NOTE 60 Series will be the first to use this feature.

3.All in One Integration Heat Dissipation and Cooling Architecture

Infinix also showed its new HydroFlow Liquid Cooling Architecture. This system combines liquid cooling with a new type of thin, solid-state fan. According to the company, the liquid can move faster than in current phone cooling systems, and the fan uses a vibrating sheet instead of spinning blades. The goal is to keep performance more stable during gaming and heavy use while keeping the phone cooler to the touch and quieter in operation.

4.Infinixs industry first split controller

Alongside this, Infinix also introduced new gaming accessories, including a split controller with a large touchpad and magnetic trigger buttons. These are meant to turn the phone into a more complete gaming setup and take advantage of the improved cooling system.

5.Infinix Active Visual Backplate Technologies

Another concept shown at CES is Infinix’s Active Visual Backplate Technology. Instead of a static back design, the phone’s rear panel can change how it looks depending on the angle, light, or temperature. Infinix uses optical layers and special materials so the back can show moving colors, simple animations, or pattern changes without using extra power.

The company says this design also integrates the camera area more smoothly into the back of the phone, aiming for a cleaner look and feel.

6.Infinix AI ModuVerse

Infinix also introduced its AI ModuVerse system, a set of magnetic accessories that can attach to a phone to add new functions. These include a microphone module, a small camera module for sports and vlogging, a meeting tool for translation and notes, a power expansion module, and a tracking camera module. The idea is to let users change how their phone works depending on what they need to do.

With these announcements, Infinix is showing its direction for future devices, focusing not just on faster hardware, but also on better signal coverage, better heat control, and more flexible ways to use a smartphone. Which of these features do you think will matter most to regular users in the next few years?
